Can I book a stay here right now?

Not yet in most destinations. This page is a discovery layer: real destination guides you can use today, and a directory that will show verified properties as hosts publish their own booking websites. We never invent listings, prices, availability or ratings to make a destination look further along than it is.

What does "Guide live · properties coming soon" mean?

The destination guide for that place is published and accurate. No property in that destination has been verified and connected yet, so there is nothing to show as a bookable listing. Once a property is verified it will appear on that destination's guide with a link through to the host's own website.

Which regions does DirectStay cover, and will more be added?

The destination guides above cover a growing set of places across Australia and New Zealand. More destinations are added as each one is researched and published, so check back or use the map to see the current coverage.

How will booking work once a property is verified?

A verified property's card will link through to that host's own booking website, where you book and pay directly with them. DirectStay builds and hosts the website; we don't operate a separate checkout or hold guest payments ourselves.

How do you decide which properties get listed?

A property only appears once we've confirmed the host's identity, the destination, a live property website and their approval to be published. That verification step is why some destinations show a guide with no properties yet rather than placeholder listings.
